🌸 5 Things I Wish I Knew Before I Was 25

Ah, 25.

The age that felt so far away when I was a teenager.

It was the ā€œgrown-upā€ number, and I thought I’d have it all figured out by then. Spoiler alert: I didn’t. šŸ˜…

But I did learn a lot along the way! I’ve always been one to reflect on my journey, and today, I want to share the 5 things I wish I knew before I turned 25.

These lessons have shaped me, and I hope they help you too, whether you’re in your early twenties or just looking for a little perspective. ✨

1. You Don’t Have to Have Everything Figured Out Right Now

We live in a world that pressures us to have our entire life planned out by a certain age—graduate, get the job, buy the house, find the partner, have it all. But guess what? Life is messy, and not knowing exactly where you're headed is okay. Some of the best opportunities come from being open to the unexpected.
If you're in that "figuring it out" phase, I highly recommend investing in a journal or planner to help organize your thoughts and dreams. It helps me stay focused, but it’s also great for setting intentions and tracking progress—even when I’m not 100% sure where I’m going. šŸ’–

2. Self-Care Is More Than Just Bubble Baths (Though They’re Great Too!)

I used to think self-care was just a cute face mask and a relaxing bath. And while that’s absolutely part of it, true self-care is about setting boundaries, managing your mental health, and nurturing your soul. Taking time for yourself isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. When you’re running on empty, you can’t show up as the best version of yourself.

3. It’s Okay to Let Go of Relationships That Don’t Serve You

Whether it’s friendships, romantic relationships, or family dynamics, not every relationship is meant to last forever. I’ve learned the hard way that it’s okay to let go of people who drain you or don’t bring positivity into your life. Surrounding yourself with people who support and uplift you is a game-changer.
If you’re in need of a little guidance or affirmation, I can’t recommend positive affirmation cards enough! They have been a great reminder to stay true to myself, especially when I’ve had to let go of negative energy. šŸ’«

4. Investing in Your Health Early Pays Off

I always thought I could "deal with" my health later. But the truth is, the habits you create in your twenties are the foundation for your thirties and beyond. Whether it’s eating well, working out, or managing stress, prioritizing your health now will pay off in the long run.
If you're looking for an easy way to boost your health and energy, I highly recommend a smoothie maker, I’m obsessed with my Ninja. It’s my go-to for making quick, nutritious smoothies packed with protein, greens, and antioxidants. Plus, they taste delicious! šŸ„‘šŸ“

5. Comparison is the Thief of Joy

It’s easy to fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others, especially with social media constantly highlighting everyone’s best moments. But here’s the thing: you are on your own unique path. Comparing your journey to someone else’s only steals your joy. Focus on your growth, your progress, and your wins. Your journey is beautiful in its own way!

Final Thoughts: Embrace the Journey ✨

Turning 25 was a big wake-up call for me, but also a reminder to be kind to myself and trust the process. The lessons I’ve learned (the hard way sometimes) have helped me grow into the person I am today, and I’m excited to keep evolving! If you're in your twenties, don’t rush the process—life is about finding balance, joy, and growth, no matter where you are in your journey.

Remember, it’s okay to not have it all figured out, but it’s also important to take care of yourself along the way. šŸ’–
